Dua for Breaking Fast in Ramadan

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem

“There are two types of happiness for a fasting person: The first happiness is the one at the time of breaking his fast. The second happiness is the one when he meets his Sustainer and acquires his award.”

If this is your first Ramadhan, or one of many, you’ll know the true happiness you get when you take the first sip of water. SubhanAllah!

There are certain times when the dua’a of a believer is more readily accepted by Allah swt. When you break your fast is one of those times which makes it very special.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah (saw)), the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler. [Tirmidhi]

With that in mind, I found this helpful video filmed by Quran Weekly with Sh. Omar Suleiman which teaches you an authentic dua’a from the Sunnah to break your fast with.

Wasalaam – Peace Be With You
